A Simple Note

So anyway, I wanted to make another post just to break into five this year and at least post more than last year and I remembered I had this. I first wrote A Simple Note as a caption series for the Rachel's Haven monthly caption competition back in September 2015 with the topic of 'Back to School'. I think this was probably my longest series yet at six panels. Before I found the pictures though I actually wrote it out as text which is something I never do. I have thought of expanding the story though into perhaps a novella as it is based on a fantasy of mine. I haven't added to this although I was tempted as I wanted to present the original form. Anyway, enjoy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was just a simple note that started it all. A small note on pink paper that had drifted onto the table one day while I was studying in the library. “You’re one of us now – The Glamourz”. It had to be a joke. The Glamourz were the biggest clique of popular girls in school and I was just geeky Ben. Nobody ever noticed me let alone wanted to hang out with me least not the popular girls. The only remotely interesting thing I had about me was that I was an English transfer student. I found another note in my locker telling me to meet them in the Starbucks in Horowitz Road; a noted hang-out of theirs. A prank, no doubt. Screw them, if it even was them, or whoever was pranking me.
The next day I was faced with the sight of the three angry Glamourz: Victoria, Ashlee and Carly. I was discretely asked to join them in an empty classroom. Victoria demanded to know why I had snubbed them and I explained why, making myself sound a little more pathetic and them like the school superstars which they were. It worked though and they were satisfied but surprisingly Victoria still extended the offer. Quite how this was going to work, I couldn’t tell but I agreed.
I was allowed to start gradually hanging out with the girls. We met after school at the mall or Starbucks and they asked me about myself and what I thought about various subjects. For my turn, I asked why they wanted me. What would I bring to the clique? Victoria said that they wanted someone smart to make sure their grades stay as high as they could be (not that they weren’t doing well already) and that Carly saw ‘something’ in me that they could use and no-one was quite sure what.
One thing that I did know though was that I would need a makeover to be truly considered part of the group. I was taken under Victoria’s wing and would stop by her house before school every day and she would gradually feminise me. First I would be wearing panties every day, then a bra, then a necklace and other pieces of jewellery. I wore girl’s jeans, leggings and yoga pants plus t-shirts, blouses and tops. All female versions of male clothes so as not to arouse suspicion. The jocks surprisingly left me alone, which I expect was the girls – my friends – asking them not to. There was the odd suspicious push in the corridor but even that stopped as my feminisation continued.
My nails also had to be painted and I grew my hair long. Ashlee took me to the salon for my first appointment. I had hair extensions put in too and they looked lovely. I also had a tan and had my make-up done professionally. My mum voiced some concerns but she told me she was just happy I was making new friends. The girls also put me on their diet and instructed me on the right foods to eat. At a sleepover they also taught me about ‘our’ favourite books, films, songs and TV shows plus our hair and make-up regime and on what days we wore certain clothes. On Wednesdays we wear pink, Tuesdays we wear plaid skirts etc.
One weekend a month later, I was taken to the mall to choose new clothes. A few of my choices were wrong but I proved I had listened to the girls’ fashion advice and felt overjoyed when they complimented me on my choices. I even had to put a top back because Carly wanted it for herself and of course she outranked me. We then had our post-shopping coffee, one of our new traditions I suggested, which saw us surrounded by bags in the middle of the store. It was then, as I looked wiped my hair out of my eyes, looked down at the outfit I was wearing and the skinny latte in my hand chatting about dresses that I felt part of them, one of the Glamourz. Once we were back at Victoria’s house the girls made me put on a fashion show for them. I also had to prove that I could put an outfit together and behave in a manner befitting the clique. Monday was going to be the big day: I was to sit with them at lunch. My new name was Beth (short for Elizabeth of course because of the Queen) and I left with Victoria who built up my confidence. We all entered the school together for the first time, strutting down the corridors like superstars, and I loved it.
Everyone accepted me as the new girl. I was with The Glamourz now and everybody was jealous. By now I knew just how to act like one of them and we were dressed in similar outfits too. I gave the impression I was as haughty, spoilt and privileged as they were and even started to believe it myself as we marched down the halls with big, expensive bags on our arms and phones at the ready.  I had never been part of a gang like that before and although I was nervous, I was loving it. I wanted to be seen and admired. There must have been an attention seeking brat inside me all this time. At the end of the day, the girls decided to give some of the guys a treat. We all stood outside their locker room with our backs turned around and when the guys came out we were to lift our skirts and flash our panties to them…except when the guys came out I found that I was the only one who did it. When they started laughing a giggling Ashlee grabbed my hand and we ran down the hall. My initiation was complete. I was now a full member. Afterwards the girls told me the embarrassing things they did to get in.
I was now Beth and that’s all everyone knew. Ben seemed to disappear from the school and no-one cared. The teachers even called me Beth and there was no suggestion that I wasn’t a girl. My new status got me into all the best parties and we were treated like rockstars. People were just happy to have us there and I started to become a proper party girl. There were a certain number of parties we all would attend and within days I had tons of invites. Everyone wanted to know the new Glamourz girl and I became keen to show myself off although I still had to be aware I was representing The Glamourz. Our reputation and popularity was everything.
My new status even got me into the cheerleading squad. After seeing the girls in their uniforms, I was so proud to get one of my own. It was hard work dancing and learning the cheers but I was proud to be part of the team. My girls also got me a boyfriend, Ted, who was on the football team. Although I still had feelings towards girls, I couldn’t resist playing the role  - and manipulating him - as I was taught to. He later told me he was gay so we kind of helped each other out. Mmm a piece of very juicy gossip I might be able to use later, I thought.
It was then I found out who I would become. Victoria was the leader, Ashlee the trendsetter, Carly the gossip and me - the bitch. I became ‘Beth the Bitch’ or ‘Bad News Beth’. One day in class, Courtney Mariens laughed at my shoes and I snapped back at her; ridiculing her outfit with such venom that my girls were impressed. From then on they would get me to tell other girls that they were wearing mis-matched outfits or last year’s fashions or picking on other characteristics. First of all I felt bad, as someone who had previously been bullied, but then I realised that many of those girls had picked on me or bitched about me and it felt so good to get my own back. I loved the power, no consequences (as Victoria told me) and feeling superior. It was intoxicating and brought me such pleasure when I told Lindsey Meyer her dress looked like a $2 hooker had rejected it for being too slutty. The girls then realised what they saw in me and who I could be. People were now afraid of me and I saw it, girls visibly flinching as I broke away from my group and sidled up to them with a superior smirk on my face, applying a fresh coat of lip gloss as I went, to whisper poison in their ear. If a rumour needed to be started or quelled then I would be the go-to girl.
I went from a nobody to ruling the school and it felt so wonderful. Victoria also told me she would be prepared to whisk me away to a private clinic in the holidays to take care of that small problem in my pants once and for all (she already arranged to have me given regular hormone injections) and I can’t wait for the chance to really become one of the girls.
Bum Bags
Here's a little fashion tip for you, it looks like that old Nineties staple the bum bag is going to be making a comeback.
Now in case a few of you are wondering what the hell I'm talking about they were also called Fanny Packs in the US (to the amusement of us here in Blighty) and McDonalds, for some reason, also christened them the Hip Pouch an they used to give them away with Happy Meals. I used to have one back in the day and they were quite useful but after a few years they drifted into the kind of naffness reserved for shell suits and other tat.
Now it appears that they are coming back and with a bit of a twist. Back in the day the bag fitted round the waist but it seems more people are slinging them over their shoulders and wearing them as a cross body bag. An article I saw the other week also renamed them as belt bags. Certainly it seems like a viable alternative when you have little or no pockets (especially in the summer months when you don't have a big coat) and don't need to cart around a large bag. I know from the occasions I've worn dresses out that you need something and I don't like loading up my coat with my wallet, phone etc. I can only imagine what some people cart around especially if you put make-up into the mix.
On set photos from the new series of Doctor Who have also confirmed that Jodie Whittaker will be wearing one in at least one episode.
So if you want to stay in style it seems that a trip back to the Nineties may be in order - and at least you'll know where to put your keys.
Fashionista #6
Ok, so...
Here are some cool winter coat styles and stuff I've been noticing.
Leather Clad Coat
Photo: shelikes.com
First of all, leather (or pleather) sleeves on a coat, normally a green parka. This has been a growing trend over the past couple of years and looks quite nice, something a bit different. Normally I see coats a lot longer than the one in the picture. Love those shiny high leggings too! High waisted shorts and leggings are quite big at the moment or at least were in summer.
A Case of the Pink Furries
Photo: Oasap.com
Faux fur coats are coming back. I'm seeing a lot of pink ones out there too. They always look soooo warm and snuggly too like wearing a whole fur blanket.
Animal Magic
Photo: ASOS.com
Fur gilets are also quite popular in various styles and colours most looking a bit odd and mottled like various cats have been skinned. I think Game of Thrones is probably to blame for this look. It's very caveperson, like you've just killed an animal and are wearing its fur. I guess many styles do come round again even if they are thousands of years old.
Gorgeous Gilet
Photo: Houghtoncounty.co.uk
Quilted bodywarmers and gilets are also a handy way to keep warm in the winter, many wearing them under clothes or going for a full quilted jacket. I remember bodywarmers from the 1980s, I used to wear one too I think.
That's A Wrap!
Photo: Elleryland.com
Clara Oswald wore a wrap skirt in The Time of the Doctor and now I've been seeing them quite frequently. It's an interesting style although it looks uncomfortable and like it might come undone at any moment. They have been getting shorter though and start looking more weird as they do, like a couple of shirt tails.
Anyway, that's all for now
Ciao!
One Year On
Well, well, well it's been a year since I started this blog and the time seems to have gone by quite fast as it always does and in the right order, which is always nice.
I started this blog as an outlet for my fantasies and the hope that if I started writing about things of a cross dressing nature then it might somehow help me to figure out myself and who I truly am inside. Is the dressing really a part of me? Could I do without it? Is it simply a sexual kink or something much deeper? Is this skirt too short? Is this skirt short enough?
Sadly, I haven't got round to detailing a lot of my past experiences like I wanted to but the blog has branched off in other ways I never thought it would. Looking around for stuff to write to help me get into the groove first of all, I started writing about my Amy Pond cosplay which seemed to be quite popular or items of clothing I liked. This lead to the Fashionista pieces which are mainly my observations of fashions and style during my travels, mainly on my journey to work in London. In an effort to continue posting I've also been detailing some of my favourite TG stories in Pink Library and why they do for me what they do. Often I have other pieces of work on or my inherent laziness sets in, for which I apologise.
Recently, I've been thinking of doing a cap blog again but may go down the Tumblr route. I'm also considering doing a Clara Oswald cosplay if I can find a red dress from somewhere although recently I've been feeling really self conscious about it again. Also, after my blog on Evie a couple of months ago it's nice to hear that, although the blog and indeed the persona are not going to be returning, Evie the wonderful, gorgeous and terribly naughty individual is alive and well.
Thanks for reading everyone. I hope it's been enjoyable and that I 'm still here doing it in another year.
Fashionista #5
Ok so, I totally didn't plan on doing another one of these quite so soon and I know that y'all must be wanting to hear a bit more about some of my experiences but I just wanted to put something up about how cute Clara was looking in tonight's Doctor Who wearing her red dress.
Clara undertakes the Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
It reminds me a bit of a red Chinese style dress my sister wore back when they were in fashion in the late 1990s but this is just so cute. I love the pattern and the black colour. The 1940s tea dress look is coming back in and I could also compare it to the sweet Lolita look. Clara's style is very different to Amy's and is very modern. Mmm I would love to wear something like that.
Would you fancy wearing a doily pinched from your mum's table or the side of the sofa? Well it seems that doily, or crocheted, dresses are becoming quite popular now.
I'm sorry Mum, I'll give it back after my date
Again, this looks like something from 1940s/1950s and with the recession still on it's part of the whole make do and mend attitude we have these days. Charity shops are flourishing and we are being encouraged to use them and recycle our old clothes. They don't have to be white either, coloured doily dresses and skirts are coming in.
Along with fur hats, washer woman style headscarves are also making a return.
Can I do you now, sir?
These also fit a more vintage look and it's not just this style with 1950s style scarves which tie around the hair and drape over the shoulder and bigger scarves which cover the head. Another touch of the hippie 1970s look.
Ciao for now!
Fashionista #4
Ok, so when I write these try and imagine a Posh Spice kind of vibe with me wearing a tight black dress, large sunglasses and big black handbag.
I blame The Killing. Sarah Lund has made chunky knitwear fashionable again for the first time since the 1980s. Not just as a fashion item too but that kind of design has been used for labels and t-shirts .
Sarah Lund celebrating The Killing's success
Stripes are in at the moment especially stripey leggings. One girl on a Gok Wan show called them her "Beetlejuice Pants" which is a very fitting title.
Doing it Zebra style
Striped T-shirts are also fashionable now. It appears it's in to look like a French stereotype.
'Allo 'Allo there
Back to trousers and disco pants are coming back in. I started seeing these stretchy black leggings a month or so ago and they seem to be popular. At least they definitely keep out the cold weather.
A different (and more reserved) disco diva
Staying with black, pleated leather mini skirts are becoming popular too. Very nice.
Leather minis FTW
Back up to the head now and if we're short of money it seems we just want to look rich with lots of faux fur coats and hast about plus the fur hat ring.Leaving the top of the head exposed seems like an odd idea but it must be warm as there are plenty about.
Warm your head with a furry hat ring
Also, if we're not trying to look rich then we go right out into the woods and look as if we've killed our own hats as having a wolf on your noggin is getting to be popular.
Gorgeous like the wolf
Doctor Who started up again recently and I'm loving new girl Clara's look already. I especially love the publicity picture below of actress Jenna Louise Coleman. Such a cute dress with lovely bows!
Jenna-Louise Coleman in a rare visit to Earth, 2013.
And finally, two current fashion items (well perhaps more last year) that I really dislike: The Onesie
Onesie is enough
I get why people like this but I think the overgrown toddler look.
The second item is these boots:
Das knee high boots
Now, I have nothing against knee high boots, I used to dream about having to wear a pair when I was in my late teens but I think it's just the scoop at the top which turns me off them.
That's all for now!
Ciao!
Tales From The Role Exchanger #2
Ok, here's another snippet from everyone's favourite big blue ball of switcheroo energy.
Again this one comes from The Role Exchanger 4 which takes place in an office block. This may not be TG either, a lot of my favourite swaps aren't, but it just struck a chord with me for some reason. Perhaps because I used to work with someone a little like Sabrina.
Disclaimer: I did not write this story. It is the copyright property of Morpheus and can be found in its entirety here: The Role Exchanger 4. If the writer sees this and would like it removed, please contact me.
Christine sat at her desk, furiously typing into her computer as she
tried to get as much done as possible before lunch, more as a matter of
pride than for fear of missing her quota.  She was only working in a
data entry position, but she always did her best to work quickly and
efficiently.  After all, it was a pretty good job even if it wasn't
glamorous.  Then again, there was very little about Christine that
could be considered glamorous.
Christine was twenty-four years and was often teased by her friends and
family about never having grown out of her tomboy phase.  She always
dressed in clothes that were loose and baggy, designed not to show off
her attractive body, but for comfort instead.  Her nails where short and
ragged due to her habit of biting them when thinking, her shoulder
length brown hair was always just pulled back into a pony tail since it
was simple and easy, and she never bothered wearing any makeup at all.
After another minute, Christine glanced over to a nearby desk where her
coworker Sabrina was working, or at least where Sabrina was sitting.
Sabrina was about the same age as Christine, but was otherwise almost
the exact opposite.  Where Christine dressed for ease and comfort,
Sabrina dressed to show off her sexy body in the latest fashions.  Her
long blonde hair had been styled in expensive salon, her nails were
perfectly manicured, and of course she was never seen without all of
her makeup being perfectly applied.  However what annoyed Christine
was that Sabrina was more interested in touching up her makeup and
looking good than in doing her job, leaving Christine and some of the
others to pick up her slack.
"Useless little princess," Christine muttered to herself as she turned
her attention back to her computer.
A moment later, Christine suddenly felt a strange tingle rush through
her body.  She let out a gasp of surprise and then shook her head,
wondering if she might have pinched a nerve or something.
"Weird," Christina mused, frowning slightly.
Christine reached for her keyboard again then paused as she noticed her
fingernails.  They were no longer short and ragged, but were longer and
growing just a little more so as she watched.  Her eyes went wide in
amazement as her nails became perfectly manicured and then a coat of
red polish appeared on them.
Then Christine noticed that her clothes were shimmering and changing.
She gasped as her comfortable clothing vanished, only to be replaced by
a trendy blouse and a short skirt.  Even her sneakers were replaced
with a pair of high heels.  It took Christine several seconds to
realize that these were the very same clothes that Sabrina was wearing.
Christine looked up to stare at Sabrina who was now dressed in
Christine's clothes and looking confused.  However it was more than
Sabrina's clothes that had changed.  As Christine watched, Sabrina's
hair shimmered and changed, turning from her normal blonde to a dull
brown and then becoming shorter and forming into a pony tail.  Even
Sabrina's makeup seemed to have all vanished.
"Oh shit," Christine exclaimed in realization.
She grabbed her hair and saw that it was now the same blonde color that
Sabrina's used to be, longer, and styled as though done at a
professional salon.  Somehow she and Sabrina had suddenly exchanged
clothes and hairstyles.  In fact Christine realized that she was
probably now wearing all of the makeup that had disappeared from
Sabrina's face.
"Impossible," Christine whispered, feeling completely confused by the
strange things that had just happened to her.  This was almost like
something out of a dream.
With that Christine got up and hurried to the nearest restroom as
quickly as possible.  She went inside and stared at her reflection in
the mirror above the bathroom sink, feeling stunned by what she saw.  A
single glance was enough to confirm that she now had Sabrina's hair, in
the exact same color and style that Sabrina normally possessed.  At the
same time, Christine also now had skillfully applied makeup on her face
and she was even wearing the earrings she'd seen Sabrina with earlier.
For a moment, Christine just stood there and stared at her reflection,
deciding that she actually looked really good this way.  She'd never
been one to dress up all nicely, and in fact, the last time she
remembered really doing so was her high school prom.  After seeing
herself looking this good, Christine knew that she wasn't going to give
this up.  If she could look this good now then there was no reason she
couldn't always look this good.
"There is something very weird going on around here," Christine told
her reflection, knowing that this was something of an understatement.
Unfortunately she had absolutely no idea of the cause or how it was
even possible.
Christine sighed as she turned away from the mirror, realizing that now
she was going to have to talk with Sabrina and see if they could figure
out how this could have possibly happened.  She doubted that it was
going to be an easy conversation and suspected that the other woman
would accuse her of stealing her hair and manicure.  Still, it would
have to be done.  Then as Christine walked away, she absently thought
about buying some makeup during lunch so she could touch her face up as
needed.  After all, it wouldn't do to be seen in public when she wasn't
at her best."
Mmm yes and who wouldn't want to be a hot fashionista?
I have to wonder if Christine is getting some of Sabrina's vanity or if the change has just brought it out of her? What happens now though? Maybe Sabrina starts to like her comfy new image and decides that all the expensive clothes and manicures weren't worth it. She could even see it as a release from her binding image and start to really knuckle down to work. Of course she may have more to do now that Christine has other things on her mind. That make-up won't touch up itself and I bet a few late lunches will be had so she can squeeze in one more shopping trip or salon appointment.
Anyway, love this one.
February 09 2013
Hi everyone!
Wow, a month goes by quickly. So much I wanted to stop on by to write about. The stories I've been writing, another Fashionista and some of the gripes I've had recently but I just don't seem to have the time to sit down and write anything. This kind of why I've stopped capping for a bit to try and catch up with some stuff.
I joined a dating site recently and haven't really had much interest but then I haven't given much out. It's still all a bit new and even though there is someone I like, I'm a little afraid I won't be acknowledged. This did happen to me last time. The site gave so many reasons you could reject someone, such as the distance you lived away or an age gap, but I just heard nothing and that really pissed me off. I'm meant to be going to a disco tonight too and although I love dancing and I do get some female attention, following it up is something I really get nervous about. Plus my feet are aching from breaking in new shoes all week and I've woken up with neck ache. Still, should be fun and I've been looking forward to it.
I'll be going to another convention in a few weeks and decided to dress up in my Amy pond costume again. this time I've found the perfect red hoodie. I was reliably (as much as the internet can be) informed that it was the actual design used in the series and readily available from American Apparel. And in unisex. The arms are a tad short but otherwise it fits well and I like it. The other day my housemate was out and I took the opportunity to indulge a bit. I put on  a pair of star tights and some shorts which I managed to pull up and fold back like the sexy girls shorts and tights combo you see about nowadays. Perhaps not the best for this cold weather but still fun for a while.
Hopefully, back soon with more posts. If anyone's still reading that is.
Fashionista #3
Ok, so...
Remember last time I mentioned studs and spikes? Well this is now officially A Thing. Little studs and spikes are now adorning the shoulders of jackets, handbags and shoes as women are trying to look that little bit more badass and teen-emo punk.
Studded shoes
Studded Jacket
One little twist to this is also the jewelled collar on that Noughties favourite the sheer blouse. Notice on the picture below that the blouse is also tucked into the skirt. This is another little thing that has now become popular. The free flowing shirt or top is gone and the future is tucked shirts with skirts riding a bit higher up the waist.
Tucked and Bejewelled
Patterned tights are in mainly with hipsters and geeks but are slowly creeping into the mainstream. Leggings with floral patterns are in especially with matching jackets.
Patterned Tights and Leggings
Speaking of jackets, Superdry Japan are out and this years essential jacket is quilted. It seems that the Sloane Ranger look may be about to make a comeback. Ok, yah!
Quilted Jacket
Staying with jackets, this is more men than woman but it's now becoming fashionable to have the collar of your overcoat turned up and some colour underneath. Can't really find the right picture to illustrate this one.
Sticking with comebacks, the military look may be on the rise again. This is one look that keeps emerging and it's understandable considering the times we live in. The military look, green shirts and khakis, was quite popular in the 1970s following the Vietnam War and let's not forget that one of the biggest and most durable fashion items is military in origin: the T-shirt. US Veterans started wearing them casually after World War II and they really caught on in the 1950s. The last time it came around was in the late 1990s and I doubt I will forget the cargo trousers and multicoloured khakis that adorned market stalls everywhere as I was in my late teens.
In the Army Now
To finish off, one item I'm seeing more of is the dress or jacket and skirt combo with the frill in the middle. A tight dress with a frill looks sexy, stylish and professional. A 21st century version of 1980s power dressing.
Fantastic Frills!
 That's all for now. Ciao!
Ok, so...
Due to the Olympics there's been a lot of patriotic clothing around with 'Team GB' and the Union Jack on.
Team GB T-shirt
I love the little lion symbol and our 'Pride the Lion' mascot is certainly better than the official ones although obviously you couldn't have anything as nationalistic as that to be the official mascot. It will be interesting to see how much of this patriotic style remains in a few months once the games have been forgotten. Another thing I've noticed is the rise in leggings with the flag, and not just the British one, on them stretching down the side.
Flaggings: UK Style!
Flaggings - USA style!
Of course with the sun out there are plenty of sunglasses around and not the big black Victoria Beckham ones either but cheap, very 80s looking ones with neon rims. The 80s still seem to be in at least. Also rising in popularity are the Pussy Bow blouse and the round collar blouse. I didn't like the latter when it first started getting popular but now it's growing on me. Still not sure if it's the sort of thing I would wear though. Maybe, but it looks quite cute especially with the outfit below.
The Round Collared Blouse
I've seen some wonderful outfits recently too, for example a woman looking a bit like a rock chick with a shock of blonde hair wearing a band t-shirt, fashion jacket, skinny jeans and fake leopardskin high heels. So stylish.  Lastly, there are the shorts. Cut off denim shorts with the pockets pulled through although, unlike the picture below, I've seen quite a few pockets painted with different designs like, and I'm sensing a theme here, flags.
Jean Shorts with pockets pulled through
Since I saw this picture I've also noticed that studs have been creeping in to clothing. I saw some on a few jackets recently. Very bad-ass.
When I was talking about posting some caps before, Alectra suggested having caps added as part of the theme of whatever I was talking about and sinceI sourced this picture here to do a cap I thought I would share. This was done for the Haven's teen dream Totalditz since she did a similar post over at Tis My Life - OMG!
Laters!
Ok, every week I seem to do a round up of clothes I've seen and liked so here we go.
I saw a girl wearing this extremely cute top during the week.
Today's Outfit. Yesterday
Working in an office means I have to wear a suit and sometimes, cross-dressing tendencies or not, it does get a bit frustrating to see the girls come in wearing various outfits and I feel that I'm doing bad by undoing my top button. Never liked ties although I'm considering getting some Tenth Doctor ones and maybe a red Shaun of the Dead one and maybe some 80's style Gene Hunt ones. My Dad still has some quite 80's ties. Anyway, the one article of clothing I'm most jealous of is the fashion suit jacket with the turned up patterned sleeves (apologies for the small picture but it's the best I could find).
Fashion suit jacket
 Wonderful. Wish I could wear one.
