The Meeting Room

Picture the scene. You enter a building, somewhere bland and nondescript down an alley somewhere. You go though a door, give your name to the woman at the desk, because you always have to at these places, and once the initial details are taken she then leads you through to a locker room. It's not very well kept, perhaps a fresh lick of paint would help, and the lockers are past their best having been bought from an office closure or a second hand store. One of the lockers is yours. You open it and take out your outfit for the afternoon. Excited, you take it through to a small changing area and it fits perfectly (ok so it probably won 't but just go with it). Your regular clothes are hung up in the locker and the assistant takes you through to a much nicer room where a group of women are sat round a table talking. They are all dressed in a similar manner to you and greet you as one of the group. In fact they can now get started with since you've finally arrived. Now you must make it through the rest of the indeterminate period of time without letting your new identity slip...

So how am I dressed, you must be asking. Well, that's all down to you and your particular fantasy as to what awaits you in the locker. Maybe it's a cheerleader uniform, maybe a very gothy dress in fact what about a goth Lolita dress, or a sweet Lolita dress or a Cybergoth? Maybe you want to be a trophy wife, a trad wife, a Stepford wife or a Real Housewife of wherever it is. How about a rich, bratty party girl? Part of a bitchy high school clique? A proper nerdy girl, a chavette in her trackies or maybe a blonde bimbo babe. Perhaps you're a MILF or a cougar talking about your latest conquest, a Karen, a maid, a stripper or supermodel. The girls at the meeting are all in on it and will let you bring out the person you want to be. 

This was a little fantasy I was toying round with and it's kind of like an escape room for crossdressers. While I'm not the greatest improvisor a scenario like this sounded kind of fun for me. Dressing up as different archetypes has always been a thing for me. This is one of a few scenarios I've been thinking of putting on Infinite Worlds but I guess we'll see. Check-Up #43

Just as a quick addendum to my last post as I thought I would do an update about some other stuff. I've bought some new skirts recently just in time for the hot weather. A nice red maxi one which I'm currently wearing, a black pleated maxi and a knee length denim one with a nice pattern on the bottom. I also bought a nice green dress which is exactly the same as a red one I bought last year. Now I just need a chance to wear them. I was also called 'Miss' in the street recently which was slightly weird considering I was wearing my work suit. I can't deny it cheered me up a bit. 

I also bought some new Star Trek cosplay recently - a blue TOS era dress to match my red one and a yellow SNW era one. Neither of which I've coveted much but one of the cosplay websites had a special offer on which I couldn't resist. Both fit wonderfully as well. I also see that Loungefly have bought out a new Tricorder inspired bag which I may have to purchase. As the new Supergirl has been released this weekend seeing lots of cosplayers online makes me which I had bought that costume last year after all although I still intend to.

2. Many moons ago I used to be on DeviantArt and recently I've been looking back in on it. Now if you've been reading this for a while you'll know how much I like Quantum Leap and that it was a formative show for me that very much stoked my interest in gender swaps. One of the stock scenes in each episode was when Sam Beckett looked into a mirror to see the person he had leaped into well the artist Tharzog has created a number of these scenes which put Sam into numerous other bodies and characters from pop culture. I've really been enjoying their work recently so if this may interest you then please take a look: Tharzog's Gallery 

 

The Model

 Last time I said that I was going to be doing a photoshoot the following weekend, well I did and I really enjoyed it. Turning up early in the morning to an unfamiliar place with two big bags of clothes was a bit nerve wracking but once everything got going I was fine. It wasn't exactly a full feminisation process (which I never expected) but more like a normal photoshoot except that before I went in a make-up artist fully did my make-up for me which wasn't full drag or anything but I had some foundation, lipstick, mascara and eyeshadow. I even had my hair curled a little bit. 

I bought a number of cosplays with me and a few dresses hoping to do at least one in something non-costumey. First up was a lovely summery blue dress with flowers on I have worn only once to a wedding reception. I did have a photo of it already but it wasn't the most flattering (no shade on the photographer of course) but this time when I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror with my hair and make-up done, well, I just couldn't believe how lovely I looked. I will also add I didn't use any enhancements like breastforms, hip pads or a gaff so it was just my own body which, incidentally, I shaved so much the night before. We went through 3 more costumes, which someone had pressed and hung up for me which was very nice and it was a bit of a rush in the end as we went over time but I've rarely had such an adrenalin rush at least these days. I've not done much work with photographers as a proper cosplay model and with my anxiety I always feel that if I'm given direction then I'm doing something wrong but of course not everyone hits a perfect pose every time and even if you're a pro you don't know what the photographer wants to achieve. 

It wasn't until I had finished that I realised that I had been treated like any other girl in regards to the poses and positions I was asked to do. The positions of my feet, holding flowers to my chin, crossing my legs in certain places, smoothing out my skirts, positioning my hands etc. I just went with it at the time but now I've thought about it, it was really great of them to do that. I think I learned a few new things too. I admit I felt rather nervous discussing what I wanted to wear and also confirming that they do deal with more diverse individuals. I never really considered myself to be LGBTQ+ but as I explore my dressing more I realise I must be on the acronym somewhere. If I need any sewing work done one of the first things I do is to check how LGBTQ+ friendly the person/company are. 

So anyway, yes, I had a really enjoyable day and a lovely set of photos. 

Check-Up #42

 I haven't been doing much out of the ordinary recently although it has been very busy at work. The weather has been quite hot here and once again I get self conscious about my legs however starting to wear maxi skirts a lot more has helped with that some the summer months. I'm also concerned about putting on weight as everything I have seems to be that little bit tighter although sometimes that's just sitting down and I'm perfectly fine if I stand. I know if I can just lose a bit then I should be fine. 

MCM Comic Con in London was last weekend and although I had plans to cosplay it didn't quite work out due to a bout of illness the night before. I did go though but wearing a basic t-shirt and maxi skirt. I did feel comfortable though and it was nice not to have to do a quick change in a toilet cubicle and queue at the cloakroom to hand in a bag before I even got into the actual convention for once though. It did give me cause to lament that I hadn't got any new outfits though especially as I had been eying a Supergirl outfit and a Starfleet Academy uniform for a bit. I did buy something recently though and it was to do a very rare male cosplay. There aren't many I've wanted to do apart from the Tenth Doctor, possibly the 14th Doctor too and maybe Star Lord but I've put that on the back burner for now. No, this one is Number Six (or possibly just any bod from The Village) from 1960s series The Prisoner. All I really needed was the jacket and ironically it was a ladies one I ended up buying.

Staying with TV, in a previous blog I mentioned the series Smoggie Queens about an LGBTQ+ friend group in Middlesbrough which has just returned for a second series. I've been watching it this week and found it as enjoyable as the first. 

Back onto the cosplay though and I have mentioned before that I wanted to try a femme dressing service at some point well I have booked up for a photoshoot through an offer I saw at a convention so now all I need to do is choose my outfits. This will include cosplay but I'm hoping I will also be able to do a full dress and make-up experience. Thinking about it is making me a bit nervous but hopefully it will turn out ok.

I had an idea for a short piece of AU fiction and since I haven't been doing captions recently I had a go at it.

Now you may think that men have always worn pink, frilly panties but that's not always been the case. Sure, it's not an unusual sight in the modern day to see a man walking down the high street with a smart shirt on, maybe a t-shirt in the warmer weather and a pair of pink, frilly panties atop his smooth, bare legs and some smart shoes or trainers. It's so average you may wonder why I'm describing it to you. In fact, men used to favour hairy legs until film star Rex Hall shaved his while on holiday in 1965 and set a trend for the Hollywood elite and indeed the rest of the world. Nowadays men shaving and waxing their legs is par for the course but what if it wasn't always so? What about a time when a man would never be caught dead in a pair of panties? 

I'm getting ahead of myself though, this trend started in 1789 when King George III decided to wear a pair of pink, frilly panties suggested to him by one of the serving girls. He was so taken with this new fashion idea that he decided to wear them everywhere. He insisted the young princes do the same and encouraged others in his entourage to do so. It caused quite a scandal in London but slowly more men adopted the look in deference to the King and to honour him. In fact he was always quite the trendsetter so many would follow his advice on what was the latest thing. That summer proved particularly hot and many were glad of the option to ditch their itchy breeches. However when winter rolled around many were willing to step back into their breeches except they found it tougher than expected. For some reason they now felt uncomfortable with their legs encased in such a way. It was stifling and itchy feeling that material brush up against your legs. Why would anyone want to do that when you could feel the breeze on your legs if you continued wearing your panties? It seems like such an obvious idea to us now. 

Over two hundred years later and trousers are barely considered as an option for men in the modern day. As times moved on many expeditions and explorations to the wildest areas of our planet and beyond were taken up by women instead of men as trousers were needed and men simply refused to go anywhere that they were unable to wear their panties to. If there was a risk of injury then trousers were the reasonable choice and if they were then men were simply not interested in doing it as it meant a certain level of pain although some were determined to manage it. Despite these pioneers, it was decided that all female teams were better suited to the task while men should stay behind in more admin and logistical roles where they could wear panties in reasonable comfort. In the modern day some men still try wearing trousers as a protest or because they prefer to crossdress. Some cosplaying males dressing as their favourite female characters reported feeling little discomfort in skirts, tights or some more feminine trousers. Some say that leaning into more feminine things lessens the discomfort for them but there is little scientific evidence at the present time to back up this theory. For a short time dresses and skirts where sold to men as an alternative but attitudes were still so rigid that many felt embarrassed in such obviously feminine garments that they soon reverted back to pink panties. 

There was some advancement though as men used many embellishments to their panties to make them  stand out such as as patterns, slogans or adding extra ruffles, buttons or bows to them. Members of the military often preferred adding an extra ruffle whenever they were promoted and the practice soon became expected. The highest ranking officers always have the frilliest panties. There have also been trends for different coloured panties but pink has always been the default for men. Indeed a harsh green or blue set have often been linked to anti social behaviour such as gang wars. The first thing many back to work schemes will advise unemployed men to do is make sure that they have a decent pair of pink panties to attend their latest job interview in. 

Despite being such a ubiquitous garment some conspiracy theories have shot up about it. One of the wildest ones is about a witch, Willa Mean, living in the 1960s, 70s or 80s. Many details change depending on who is telling the story but some remain the same. Sometimes Willa lives in a New York apartment, sometimes a house in London, a hut in the desert or various other locations. One of the main threads of the legend though is that one day Willa woke up after a one night stand wearing a pair of pink panties and the man she was with made fun of them (the reason why is lost to time as they were just a pair of normal panties) and loved to smack her on the bottom. They say that this ridicule fuelled her vengeance so much that her magic, so full of vengeance, changed reality itself and made pink panties required wearing for men the world over. This also has been linked to why a common courtship ritual is for a woman to smack a man on the bottom to indicate her interest although this practice largely died out in the early 21st century due to protests from men's rights groups. Some men however have dismissed the idea that this is somehow sexist and simply a way for people to express their interest in each other with many citing that it's how their parents or grandparents first met. In fact I consider myself a progressive person but there is no doubt that when I was slapped on my bum in the pub just last week it made me feel wanted rather than objectified. 

There is also the growing social media trend many think has been inspired by this theory that has led to young women posting pictures of their latest male conquest's panties all over their feeds. Many times they've taken them while the man is still asleep or in the bathroom and used them in a variety of poses including twirling them round their heads, hanging them on door knobs or bed posts or even wearing them. In 2023 one notorious con man was even caught when his distinctive pink panties with a purple swirl on were recognised by his previous victims when he had a one night stand with his latest girl. 

There have been subscribers to this theory in the past that have tried to track down Willa. The descriptions come in a variety of shapes and sizes from a frail lady in her 80s to a voluptuous lady in her 30s yet they all note the raven hair and piercing blue eyes. I couldn't resist following up on these reports when I noticed that the house Willa was alleged to live in was quite close to me. Only a short train ride away. I approached the block with some trepidation and waited for my chance to enter. I slipped upstairs and found Flat 89. I was sweating when I knocked on the door. It was answered by a dark haired teenage girl with the same blue eyes which had been reported. I was quite taken aback as I hadn't expected anyone like the person I had read about. She was friendly enough and invited me in to 'check for witches'. Cynthia, as she called herself, said she leased the flat while she was studying at university but wasn't sure who from as she had never met the owner in person and communicated only by email. The owner was Miss Mean so perhaps that was where the confusion arose. Cynthia complimented me on my panties and I was pleased she noticed as I had only bought them a few weeks ago due to the cute ruffles on the legs. She also noticed my bracelet; a line of pink hearts with 'CUTE' written on both sides. At that moment I was unable to recall where I bought it but Cynthia knew it was an old symbol of masculinity. Queen Victoria gifted them to the bravest soldiers in the Crimean War in 1855 but it later became a symbol of honour which many men were proud to display. I wasn't quite sure how I had forgotten that. Nerves I suppose. I said goodbye to Cynthia having been satisfied that at least this part of the Willa Mean legend was just hokum. 

Sometimes we shouldn't try to explain away these historical customs and just accept they are there for our own good. 

Check-Up #41

 So I've had an interesting month which started with some time off. I attended a Doctor Who convention for the first time in over a decade. It was an interesting experience as I had been going to these since 2004 (mainly for Buffy fandom but moving into other shows) when I was in my early 20s. I didn't do cosplay at that time, the first con I did it at was in 2011, and I certainly didn't crossdress at all. I think it must have been lurking at the back of my mind but I never did anything about it. Also at the time and being as young as I was, I saw these events as the place I might be able to find a romantic partner which I think I put a lot of pressure on myself to do so. Although I never got together with anyone I had a few kisses, crushes and near misses. I never also managed to make friends as well so to see everyone greet each other like long lost friends was a bit depressing. 

I wasn't sure if I wanted to recreate all that though so I went with some trepidation but determined to enjoy myself and try to feel like I had moved on emotionally in the last 20 years. In the end I did have a good time. There were some things that I found a bit frustrating but that was to do with the con in general and the odd autograph system they had in place. The convention was quite inclusive though which is nice and of course one of the best parts is the hotel buffet breakfast. I did a couple of cosplays which I enjoyed and when I wasn't doing that I had a couple of dresses for the dances and a red skirt I coupled with some t-shirts I mostly wore to get food and sit around between panels. I even had some nice compliments on just being myself and I managed to find some people to talk to. 

The following weekend I caught up with some friends and we attended a geeky event together. It's always nice to know that I'm (hopefully) on the right track with fashion and I'm always surprised when I get a compliment. In the early days especially I was expecting hate so much that the good caught me quite off guard. The weekend after that I ended up going to a friend's birthday party in full Star Trek cosplay which was probably one of the more nerve wracking times I've spent in cosplay as it involved going into central London. The cosplay was a short red dress from the original series and luckily I had a long black coat to cover it up to walk through the streets. 

I'm in a bit of a funk regarding captions at the moment as a couple of weeks ago I had another unfavourable social media comment. Now, I'm not against someone disliking my work as that's par for the course but someone went to the trouble of retweeting me and accusing me of not being able to speak English! I don't think they even got the kink aspect of the story I was trying to tell (in a small space as well) so I don't know how they stumbled onto my stuff. I have restricted my profile a bit but I've been a little hesitant to stap captioning in that format again. I may start writing some longer form stories instead to scratch that itch and I have started on one already. To be honest I've been thinking of doing it for a while. 

Ok and for a final bit of levity here's a few comments on the costumes for the recently started series 21 of Taskmaster. I'm not sure if I've talked about it before but this series has really been a go to happy place for me in the last few years. Five comedians are given silly things to do and are then assessed by the Taskmaster. There are a number of pre-filmed tasks and more often than not they choose to wear specific costumes to do these in.

Going from left to right, starting off we have Joel Dommett. I'm not the greatest fan of Joel but here the costume is wonderful: a leather look 90s skateboarder outfit complete with skateboard! Always love a prop and it reminds me of Andy Zaltzman from series 18 with his full cricket whites including helmet and bat. Amy Gledhill is next and she's wearing a kind of jungle woman/cave woman outfit. In particular I notice the fishnets as often those that choose to do tasks in a skirt or dress, like Liza Tarbuck or Victoria Coren-Mitchell, often have leggings on perhaps to do with the more physical nature of the task and the danger of them tearing which I expect is a continuity nightmare. Amy is my tip for the winner of the whole series too. Next we have Kumal (OMG he's so famous!!) Nanjiani who is in a basic but functional jacket, top, jeans and trainers. Sensible but unremarkable. Then we have hosts Greg Davies, the eponymous Taskmaster, and his assistant Little Alex Horne (the series creator and person behind the fiendish tasks). Joanna Page is next wearing dungarees which is a Taskmaster staple much like the jumpsuit and recalls Charlotte Ritchie and Sophie Willan. She's also coupled it with a yellow top which makes her look like a minion however there are questions over whether this is intentional. Joanna is another strong contender for the top spot. Finally Armando Iannucci looking spiffy in a suit and tie. Always respect a man doing the show in suit and tie much like Frank Skinner or John Kearns (who always lobbed a jacket out of shot whenever he started a task). Two episodes have aired so far and I'm looking forward to the rest. 

TV Style

 I just wanted to mention some things from a couple of programmes I've been watching recently. 

Firstly, the latest Star Trek series: Starfleet Academy. The first season has just aired with a second (and now final, sadly, according to this week's news) to follow and personally I quite liked it. Obviously I'm going to talk about uniforms. I cosplay quite a few Star Trek uniforms and one of my favourites and indeed the first one I tried was the red dress from the original series. In fact I went to friend's birthday party in one on Saturday night and getting on a train and the London Underground in it is probably one of the bolder of my crossdressing adventures. 

Anyway, the uniforms from SA are mainly grey with a few flashes of colour to denote which area the cadets are studying. Within this framework they have a coloured t-shirt with a jacket and trousers, jacket and skirt and a dress. As soon as I saw the skirt suits I knew I wanted one and hopefully I will sort that out at some point. Now one other thing I should mention is that one of the boys is seen wearing the skirt suit! Jay-Den the Klingon wears it in a few episodes and this was so good to see. Back in the days of Star Trek; The Next Generation they did introduce a Starfleet dress (the skant) which some male extras were seen wearing in the background however this didn't last very long and was phased out by the second season.

Now, things have moved on since the 1980s and people are a bit more relaxed about gender fluidity today (or at least they were for a while, things seem to be going backwards), or at least the youth are, this would be the perfect time to try a unisex uniform again. The trouble is however, unless I've missed some more extras, that Jay-Den appears to be the only one wearing it and the production team seems think it's ok for only him to dress like that because he's gay. Perhaps if a few others did it then it might appear more universal. It seems we still may not have come that far since the 1980s which is disappointing.

I've also been catching up with the rest of the world and watching Ted Lasso. For the uninitiated, this was one of Apple TV's first big hits and centres around a good natured American football coach enlisted by UK football team AFC Richmond to turn around their fortunes. It ran for three series from 2020-2023 with a fourth coming soon and one of the characters I've fallen for is Keeley Jones played by Juno Temple. She's such a wonderful character who, in lesser hands, could have ended up as a typical WAG. Needless to say one big part of that is the outfits she wears which steer just close to OTT at times but have a certain feminine flair.

Finally, speaking of wonderful outfits, a shout out to Morgan Gillory over at High Potential. This is the latest entry in the police consultant genre and sees Kaitlin Olson star as Morgan, a cleaner with a genius level IQ who starts assisting the LA Police with murder cases. She's a great character and has a wonderfully eclectic sense of style. Certainly one of those characters I watch to see what she's wearing that week.

Catch-Up #40

 I've been doing a lot of thinking recently related back to my trip to Italy last year. I said I got some dress envy which normally happens but I think that the root of it is not that there were other people wearing dresses but that I wasn't. I was depressed that I was unable how to present how I wanted to. Thinking about it since and there are times when I've looked in the mirror when I've been dressed and I've loved what I'm wearing. It's made me stupidly happy to do it and I realised that through the years I've never felt that way about any male clothes that I've worn. It doesn't matter whether I'm in a t-shirt and jeans or a suit (and to be honest suits and formal wear in general always made me feel a bit uncomfortable) I've never felt that same way and nowhere near as happy as when I'm in a nice dress or skirt and tights. After all these years, it just feels right. 

When I was a teenager I used to go out to clubs with my friends with the chief reason being to pick up girls. This never worked, not for me anyway, I was never that type of person and the music was mostly the kind of rubbish you get in clubs anyway. At least if it had been the songs in the pop charts I might even have been able to have a dance. Genuinely I used to wish I was a woman sitting atop a stool dressed in a slinky red dress and smoking a cigarette like in the movies. No idea why the cigarette (I don't even smoke) or why it should be a red dress (perhaps related to Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys which I've never actually seen to this day or Jessica Rabbit) but I think it was also that I wanted to take on the more traditional female role and have people talk to me rather than having to make the first move. Later on when I started to go out dressed I went to a club with some friends to celebrate a birthday and there I felt like the odd one out but then I thought about it a bit more and figured out that I didn't really want to dress like the other guys in their plaid shirts and shiny shoes but I just wanted to blend in a bit more and not feel like I was a square peg. This feeling has gone away in later years though and I'm more comfortable with myself now and don't feel like I stick out quite so much although some times are more noticeable than others. 

Thinking about it, I don't think that dressing how I wanted would have been the solution to all my problems but perhaps it would have made me a little happier and a bit more at peace with myself without feeling that I'm being forced to act a certain way. It does feel like that at times though, like I'm being forced to look a certain way and I was the one doing it. Perhaps I've repressed that part of me. Maybe that's the reason. That said though I'm still a believer that things happened when they were supposed to and if I had started earlier I may not have been as comfortable with myself. I needed to get through a set of experiences to become who I am now. 

I've been out dressed a few times recently in fact I think last year I was doing it a couple of times a month. I bought some new skirts recently too and even a dress that was a bit too tight (even after I found the side zip) but it was only £1.00. I'm worried that the enjoyment is starting to slip a bit for me but that may be worries about storage. If I see something I like, I will still go for it. 

Lastly, I've had some really nice comments on my writing recently and one in particular I would like to note. I put my Role Exchanger story Office Christmas Party up the The Changing Mirror back in December due to the Christmas theme (in fact it's been about a decade since I wrote it) and had a lovely comment from TF story legend and Role Exchanger creator Morpheus (I have no reason to believe this wasn't genuinely them, by the way) who said that they enjoyed it and it may even have inspired them return to the concept. Genuinely made up by that. 

To end I thought I would add a story I read just last night that I liked about a trio of friends at a music festival who slowly get turned into fans of a pop princess rather than the band they were actually there to see.

The Gender Dysphoria Bible

 I thought I would do a little public service announcement. Now, I don't know why people mainly read this blog and I guess you either like following one man's adventures in crossdressing or you're just here to read stories about guys magically turning into bimbos. Certainly the piece on sexual dysphoria was interesting to me as it helped make more sense of how I've always viewed women and the "do I want to fuck her or do I want to be her?" conundrum. Anyway, I don't know if me putting a link up will help anyone but I hope it will.

So far it's not been the best start to the year although I have got myself a couple of new dresses recently and a lovely pink jumper with hearts on that has an Enid from Wednesday vibe. 

Anyway, here are some stories I've been reading recently: 

Frat House Feminization by Sissy Girl Sammi

This is a fun tale set at Halloween as a witch takes revenge on a bunch of frat boys. Anyone who has read my Ember Montoya caps will know how much I like this sort of stuff plus multiple transformations is always fun. I must just mark out one fate, that of Eric who is made transgender. Nothing physically happens to him but mentally he's starting to think about things he never has before. Wonderfully he later sounds out another of the gang regarding crossdressing at Halloween because, hey, everyone does it. Aww, we've all been there, sweetie. Whether or not Erica would become someone who stands up for trans rights or continues on as a rich arsehole trampling all over her trans brothers and sisters remains to be seen. 

Tomboy Trouble by Razmagurk

This one by the ever reliable Razmagurk is for those that love the 'what if girls acted like boys' trope and is also a lot of fun especially how it ends up. 

The Wrong Uniform by Grace Fairway

Always nice to see new stories from Grace especially involving clothes swapping. This one is set in a school and takes place between a teacher and her chavvy student in detention. It was influenced by another story I read for the first time recently Spanking the Teacher by Netsylph which I enjoyed. One for people who enjoy F2F clothes swapping and power swaps

Finally I would just like to mention Evie Hyde's blog Evie's Emporium where Evie has been posting new stories every day so far this year. Great for those who enjoy M2F, F2F, power swaps corruption and especially bitchification. My recent faves include the Fit Bitch universe, De-Gen-Erate, the Role With It universe (which I love playing in), Hate Me Harder and Softening. I'm also honoured to be writing a story with Evie which I'm really enjoying the process of. I have wanted to start doing some longer stuff. 

Christmas Captions #2

 Here's another batch of captions created for the Haven's 12 Caps of Christmas this year. 

My Christmas was fine overall although I'm not too pleased to be back at work so soon. Here's a little tale though, over the last few weeks I went to see a favourite Christmas movie of mine played in a church with a live soundtrack. I was wearing a red maxi skirt, t-shirt, yellow cardigan and a pink coat and I headed to the toilet before the show kicked off. A very nice lady directed me to the ladies - which I did not want to go in for obvious reasons so for a few moments I was staring at the various toilet signs on the wall like I was trying to decipher hieroglyphics until she left. She didn't but she suggested the disabled toilets instead which I duly took somewhat sheepishly. I also posted my Role Exchanger: Office Christmas Party story on The Changing Mirror and it's elicited some nice comments. If anyone is interested this story, which is about 9-10 years old now is elsewhere on the site but anyway captions...

A Hot Girlfriend for Christmas (2025)

My first idea needed a bit more work so I came up with this as a replacement and I quite like it even though I couldn't decide on a TG method and nearly left it as a mystery.

The Night Before (2025)

I was working on this one for quite a while. The picture is AI generated but it had a storybook look to it so I tried writing some poetry and parodying Clement Clarke-Moore's classic 1823 poem A Visit from St. Nicholas. 

The Email Request

As always there are a number of things I've been wanting to post about especially before I forget it all but for this post I thought I would just mention an email received at my work a few days ago which took me back to the old days reading about sissy stuff. If you're reading this I expect it's a route you may have gone down as well. Crossdressers look for any excuse to dress up and make it not look like it's exactly what we wanted to do. 

Anyway, this email came from a man who I'll call Billy (not his real name). Billy informed us that he had just lost a bet (haven't we all?) and now had to dress up as a woman and work at a local business for a few days (for nothing). We would get to pick his outfit and if we wanted him to attend an interview in drag then he would be willing. No idea what this mysterious bet was but good on him for trying it. Hell, if he's able to find a place you can work in drag I'm willing to try it out. 

Reading the email took me back to reading about crossdressers experiences go out and also the self challenges that people may do such as going into shops asking to try on wedding dresses or lingerie although I think to do that you may have a bit of a humiliation fetish. Certainly I've written enough caps in my time dealing with lost bets. I haven't passed on the email so I doubt I would be able to give poor Billy a chance although I just imagine if I did it would be the best day of his life. 

Halloween 2025

 I've been meaning to update this for a while now, adding what I've been doing and even a few story recommends but time just got away from me. I was also going to, due to it being spooky season, do a quick bit of flash fiction but even that I've struggled with so here is a double header of caps featuring monster based weirdness from 2014. These were created for the Rachel's Haven October Caption Contest with the theme of 'You are the Thing Demons are Afraid of'. Looking back, I quite like these two and in a lot of ways they sum up my style and humour.

Check-Up #39

 It's been a busy month. I went on a work's trip to Italy which in some ways felt like a 3 day long panic attack as I don't really travel well but it was a more pleasant experience than some trips I've had. Italy is of course a beautiful country and ultimately I'm glad I had the opportunity to go there and experience it. I don't think I took full advantage of it though as I never felt I could relax properly. Perhaps if I had been there for a few more days. I did paint my nails the colours of the Italian flag though which went down quite well but that only made me feel worse for not being able to dress on a couple of other occasions and I definitely had dress envy. Perhaps that was part of it, I just felt a bit down most of the time for not being to live more authentically, which is a phrase I rarely, if ever, use but I guess it applies here. 

I've bought a couple of new things recently. I was able to get some new boots for a Star Trek cosplay which are really nice and fit really well so much so that I may wear them on other occasions. I also bought a nice purple maxi skirt a few weeks ago and just yesterday I bought yet another variation on the black dress with white flowers look I seem keen to cultivate. I do have quite a few dresses like that now. The weather is getting a bit cooler now so the summer dresses may have to fall by the wayside however I have lost a bit of weight recently which is nice so there is some stuff I may now be able to fit into. 

Last thing I want to mention is that Gen V came back recently. This is the second season of the spin-off from superhero series The Boys set at a university for young heroes. I did have a look back as I'm sure I shared this opinion before but one of the students is Jordan Li who is bigender and has the ability to switch between genders at will (played by Derek Luh and the wonderfully named London Thor as the masc and femme personas respectively). They do explore this quite well in the series but I am wishing that they would lean a little into more femme clothing sometimes. However this does fit with the character as someone who is still learning about existing as different genders. There is no sudden change in personality as you may get with a Jekyll and Hyde type transformation but Jordan is just themselves however they decide to present at that moment. It will be interesting to see how the series develops this further.

Check-Up #38

 I haven't done an awful lot recently or really bought much except a lovely green pleated maxi skirt. I'm worried that I'm running out of space to store so even buying does make me feel a bit guilty. This is a shame as it's one of the only joys I seem to get out of life these days. Work hasn't been going so well recently in fact it's been quite stressful even trying to wrangle a day off. 

I've also been thinking a lot about how long I've been doing this recently and why I continue. Sometimes I still feel like the odd one out but it's not so bad anymore. There are also times, like last night, when I get dressed up to go out, see myself in the mirror, and I honestly can't stop smiling because I feel so good which is a rarity these days. My hair is a little longer at the moment too so I think that really helps with it. 

I've still been enjoying Infinite Worlds recently but here's a couple of stories I've read:

The Reversal by VAXcrasher is a sweet story of a married couple reversing their roles and finding out how the other half lives. 

Swapped Destinies by VAXcrasher is a similar tale of a man and a woman mysteriously switching lives. 

Media Blitz

Here are a few pieces of media I've been enjoying recently with some notable scenes I thought might be suitable for this blog so I thought I would ramble on for a bit about that. This was originally a short list which has gotten longer as I've put off writing it: 

Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)

This is a very enjoyable sequel from the dying embers of the DCU (more on that a bit later) but I'm just going to focus on the moment when the wizard (magical dude who gave Billy Batson his powers - played by Djimon Hounsou) appears to Billy in his dream just as he's going on a date with Wonder Woman to give him a warning. This of course means he appears with his face on Wonder Woman's body which is a lot of fun. A shame that Zachery Levi is a Trumper these days when nearly 20 years ago he was king of the nerds Chuck Bartowski in the action TV series Chuck which I fondly remember. Following watching the first film, I did contemplate cosplaying Mary Marvel.

Doctor Who: Wish World/The Reality War (2025)

Well this year's season finale was a bit of a mixed bag which sadly ended with the regeneration of the Fifteenth Doctor played by Ncuti Gatwa. It felt like we spent very little time with this incarnation and I was sorry to see him go however it looks like the next Doctor may be a woman in the shape of former companion Billie Piper. I have some scepticism around this casting and whether it may just be a bit of fan baiting but I'm not going to go into that. 

The main part I wanted to mention though is that the Fifteenth Doctor wore a few skirts over him time, albeit leaning towards the masculine rather than anything more femme, with the final episode seeing him in a pinstripe number. In Wish World the Doctor had woken up with no memory of his true self and believed himself to be wage slave John Smith who worked for an insurance company every day and wearing a very British blue pinstripe suit and bowler hat. When the spell is broken in The Reality War it's a delight to see the Doctor's more subversive take on the pinstripe suit with a vest and skirt. Very suitable for perhaps the most LGBTQ+ friendly Doctor. 

Rick and Morty: The Rick, The Mort & The Ugly (2025)

Multiple versions of the title characters have long been a staple of this sci-fi series with a whole citadel of AU Ricks and Mortys co-existing in previous episodes. This story sees the fallout from the citadel's destruction as some of the characters try to rebuild their lives. Here I just wanted to note that in a scene reminiscent of a western bar there are some flapper Ricks in the background in full showgirl garb. Maybe they are clones designed just to dance in the background (if Rick gets some kind of weird amusement out of it) or it's possible that alternate versions of the universe's smartest man just want to look pretty and dance. 

Cheerleader Camp (1988)

Cheaply made 80s horror that I only mention due to a crossdressing scene in which one pervy kid dons drag to spy on cheerleaders. Yup, best leave that one there and indeed in the past where it belongs. 

M3GAN 2.0 (2025)

I never watched the original but the trailers for this made me want to go back and see it. If you're in two minds I would say don't go in expecting a horror film akin to the original but something with a more action sci-fi flavour with a hint of MCU. I would totally watch a series with a snarky killer doll and her friends/team fight crime though and I had a lot of fun with this. I mention this mainly because of M3GAN's cute new outfit with miniskirt. I saw someone dressed like this at a recent convention and fair play to her, she really committed to it.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)

In my post Buffy rewatch efforts to watch the cinematic oeuvre of Sarah Michelle Gellar I watched this since it dropped on Amazon Prime. SMG was the perfect choice for Daphne blending many of the elements that made Buffy Summers such a great character namely her kick-ass skills matched with a little ditziness. This is my favourite of the two films and the scene I wanted to mention sees Scooby wearing Velma's jumper and Daphne's purple boots. Daphne herself simply comments that they don't go together but hey, nothing wrong with the Scoob trying a new look. 

Transaction (2025)

Sitcom written by and starring comedian Jordan Gray as Liv, a chaotic trans woman who starts working at a supermarket on the night shift and realises that she can't get fired. It's a lot of fun and a great premise for a sitcom. I think that we Brits seem to specialise in the kind of sitcom that makes you realise everyone's a bit shit really. No matter the struggles some have whether it's race, colour, creed or ability we all have the capacity to be a dick to everyone. It's certainly interesting to see Liv so certain in her identity but yet unsure about having surgery. 

Pretty Red Dress (2022)

Very touching drama about a family unit in south London rocked when the father is discovered crossdressing in the title garb which is used by his partner in an ongoing audition to play Tina Turner in a musical. It also ties in with the story of their teenage daughter who is dealing with her own issues around gender and sexuality. It's still on BBC iPlayer here in the UK but is worth tracking down if you have the same interest in this sort of media as I do.  

Ironheart (2025)

The latest TV offering from the MCU wasn't the best they've done but still a lot of fun as always. I mention this here only due to the appearance by Drag Race royalty Shea Couleé as nonbinary hacker Slug. 

Superman (2025)

One the big summer movies and one which I really enjoyed yet was not without it's faults. So does Superman get into the wrong phone box and end up in a dress? No but I mention it here due to Supergirl's cameo at the end. Supergirl is a character I have wanted to cosplay and seeing her saunter in with a dirty coat over her outfit made me want to do it more.

Check-Up #37

Yes, 37 in a row (little Clerks reference there). See, I can get blogs out before the end of the month. I have got another I want to do about some stuff I've been watching but I wanted to get this one done while I still think of it.  

I went to a convention today and I was just thinking about the amount of prep I did for it for, well, not much really. Today I was Belinda Chandra, the latest Doctor Who companion, from the 1950s set episode Lux in which she wears a very nice yellow dress (please see below picture). The dress itself was good although the one thing wrong with it was that it was very generous in the chest department and despite the ravages of middle age, I really don't have much of, if at all, boobage. I tried pinning it back and I suppose the only other solution would be to wear falsies but I'd never done that before and can't be bothered to be honest. The dress is also backless which meant I would be showing more skin than usual so I got up early and did as much shaving as I could do. This is despite the fact that I bought a white cardigan to cover my shoulders. So I needn't have done so much shaving but part of me thought I might do a photo at some point although I would also say that perhaps not even the sudden heat death of the universe would have been warm enough to make me take the cardie off. Welcome to gender dysphoria.

The flip side of this though is when I tried the costume on all at once including the white shoes (which I had originally bought for Cher Horowitz) and I just felt so good. My hair is a bit longer and fluffier at the moment so that helped. Again only the lack of boobage let me down today. It was one of those moments when I remembered the feeling that made me want to do this over and over again. I felt so pretty in that moment. After a few arguments in the office at work recently when trans issues have come up it was a reminder of why I still like to do this. It also reminds me that I really should speak up more. 

So why did I do it? Basically to walk around a lot of stalls for 2 hours. Literally 2 hours. I changed clothes in a a small tent (luckily no-one else wanted to use it) and had some overpriced food so why bother? I felt wonderful walking around though. I carried myself a little differently and felt a bit like a proper lady as my heels clacked on the bare floor. The same heels that my feet are now recovering from. I had some nice comments and someone even asked for a photo which was nice. I've also just realised that this is a growing trend of companion period costumes I have (see also Rose Tyler's 1953 dress from The Idiot's Lantern and Ruby Sunday's mod dress from The Devil's Chord). This one I bought specifically because Varada Sethu, who plays Belinda, was at the convention.  

Elsewhere I also went to Birmingham for a talk. Despite travel issues I managed to get there ok but I needed to catch a cab which is how I ended up standing outside a rock pub wearing a t-shirt and red maxi skirt, trying to hide next to a mural. I was expecting a text or call from the driver as he drew near but this didn't stop the paranoia kicking in and me dashing across the road to ask a couple of taxi drivers if they were here for me which prompted one pub patron to shout "What are you doing?" at me. I almost had my face in my hands screaming "I don't know!" (please note I took this a more lightly than it sounds like I did. It's almost sitcom like). As I got in my cab I was treated to a rousing chorus inviting me to either get my tits or my dicks (plural?) out for the lads (still not sure which one it was). Charming. 

Apart from breaking a bracelet this weekend while trying it on in a store, that's about it. I will say though that I am taking the chance to dress more often while going out which does mean lugging a bag of clothes into work but I have found a nice secluded space to change. I will just leave you with a couple of stories I'm following at the moment:

Fake It Until You Make It by tithug - Another tale on The Changing Mirror, this is a fun, ongoing bimbofication story about a snooty literature graduate being taught how to 'fit in' at her new job at a local salon. 

The Underwear Situation by Lost Mind - not quite sure where this is going but it's an interesting mind control tale as Tom's roommate Rebekka tries to change his mind about her - and her underwear. 

Back to the 1960s

 I've always enjoyed time travel programmes, films and captions and one of my favourite times is the 1960s as I love the fashions. Well, at least I thought it was until I looked into doing this and found I hadn't done that many. It's either this or the 1980s so I guess we'll have to see. I've even done a brand new cap for this post!

The below caption was created for the August 2016 caption contest over at Rachel's Haven which had the theme 'Time travel'. The title derives from The Who's album and movie Quadrophenia. Reading it again, I quite like the story in this of a world weary time traveller suddenly being given some free will back.

The below caption was again created for the Rachel's Haven caption competition. Now we are in April 2022 and theme is 'Possession in Either the Past or Future'. Obviously I chose the past and I quite like the idea of using a new phone app to insert someone into a photograph. I love the outfit the girl is wearing in this one too. The only thing that could be improved is the name of the band 'The Pop Cats'. I'm sure there must be a better one. The title is taken from a British sci-fi anthology series from the 1960s. 

Journey to the Unknown (2022)

And now to the newness! I've been toying around with AI recently and this is one of the random images I came up with. I enjoyed writing all the 1960s slang. The idea of a time travel portal in a diner is derived from a Stephen King book and TV miniseries 11.22.63. Neither of which I have actually read or watched but I keep meaning to although I see the series is now 9 years old! Afficionados of British sitcom may also remember the 1990s Nicholas Lyndhurst starring Goodnight Sweetheart. The premise was that a TV repairman was able to travel back to the 1940s by using a specific alleyway (Ducketts Passage) in London. I'm quite pleased with my final line on this one too.

 I just wanted to note a few stories that have caught my interest this month. 

The first is Infinite Worlds. I have started looking into this through The Changing Mirror and it's an AI driven storyteller in which creators can add certain scenarios and the player can continue on through the story either via prompts given by the AI or those written by the player themself. I'm getting quite into it at the moment and with any sort of AI story I like having the input and opportunity to shape the story. I've also been wondering whether or not to try crafting a storyline myself and I'm intrigued to know what the process is. 

Speaking of my own creations, I recently put my short story (or more of a vignette I think) Christmas Morning on The Changing Mirror and although it has views I have 0 comments on it. I'm not sure whether I like this or not as I do rather worry about comments and what other people say and even on this blog I get a bit anxious. Since I started doing captions on Bluesky I haven't had much there either but then it did take time to grow even on Twitter and then I wonder when I started to worry about it so much. I guess social media does that to you and I should really just create stuff for me first. In some ways erotica and fetish can be quite niche; I could write something that pushes all my buttons but no-one else would get it. Indeed I've done that before with captions and it's a great compliment to be told that not only did you hit someone's buttons correctly but you may have invented a few new ones which is something I've been told before. Always nice to know someone is reading though and likes what you do.  

Here are a couple of new ones I've also been reading:

Bimbo 101 by Sissy Girl Sammi - a man is turned into a bimbo by his witch stepmother who is giving him lessons on how to be one. There are only 2 parts up at the moment but I'm hoping more will be soon as this is certainly one that interests me. The idea of being taught how to be like someone has always chimed with me especially if it's someone in particular. 

The Succubike by Heather J - Fun story about a motorbike changing men into bimbos. 

In other news, I've bought a few new things. A red dungaree dress which is quite nice, a black maxi skirt and a dress which consists of a black and white striped top and black skirt. I also bought some new Star Trek cosplay recently and wore it out at MCM this weekend which was quite fun although being surrounded by so many people make me wonder why I worry about it so much.
